Unusual Patterns
As Dr. Morgan examined Nix’s fur more closely, his brow furrowed. The markings were too uniform; their symmetry was unsettling. "These don't look like typical Cane Corso markings," he murmured, speaking more to himself than to anyone else. Ethan stepped forward. "What do you mean? What’s wrong with the markings?" The veterinarian once again gently stroked Nix’s fur with his fingers, gazing at the perfect shapes the stripes formed across the dog’s body. "It’s not just that they’re unusual," he said softly, "but that they are almost *too* precise—almost as if they were designed." The family froze, each of them struggling to grasp the implications of his words.
A Shocking Discovery
Suddenly, Dr. Morgan recoiled slightly, his eyes widening in utter disbelief. His hands trembling, he looked up. "Oh, my God!" he blurted out, taking a step back. His reaction brought the tension in the room to a fever pitch. "What is it?" Mr. Johnson pressed, his voice filled with concern. For a moment, Dr. Morgan struggled to answer. "I... I've never seen anything like this," he finally managed to say. Nix sat calmly, its head tilted slightly, as if it could understand the commotion. Its glowing, intelligent eyes only made the moment feel even more bizarre. The silence that followed was thick with suspense.
